Rally

Scholar was asked to create a hype video for the crypto currency platform Rally. The ask was to visualize key words that helped define their brand mission with a sense of individuality and abundance. The main challenge for the team was to make each word feel like it was properly visually represented in a limited time frame.

Crypto

For this shot I was given the incredibly fun opportunity to make something look broken. Which involved a lot of experimentation, research and timing to make the design elements connect with the word. After researching Glitch art and looking at videos of computers malfunctioning I developed this shot to have a harmonious & chaotic texture so it would all glitch in a dynamic way.

Sustainable Independent Economies

In contrast to Crypto, this sequence required precise timing, clean design, and a even pace. To give the feel of a community growing I needed to develop a grid system with individual words where the key words from the audio shift. Using the transitions of the individual words as a trigger for the larger grid ended up working the most effectively.
